Physical Features

Candlagan Creek, located on south side of Mossy Point and just north of Broulee, drains about 5 km2 of coastal swampland behind Broulee. The waterway is generally shallow and extensively infilled with marine sediment in the entrance area. Candlagan Creek is particularly narrow near the entrance. Being on the north end of the beach system, the entrance is expected to be heavily shoaled.
