Estuaries in NSW

This page provides links into data sets that give details of physical, chemical and geographic features of Estuaries. The data linked on this page has been collected under the Estuary Management Program and its predecessors, in conjunction with Manly Hydraulics Laboratory.

• Physical Tidal Data includes tidal prism information, available tidal data reports and historical and current real time water level and salinity data availablility.
• Tidal and Mangrove Limits for the estuary is available. This data is based in the work done by Manly Laboratory for DNR which used a systematic method to define both the physical Tidal Limits (that point that tides do no pass) and the Mangrove Limits for the main arm and tributories of an estuary.
• Simplified Maps of the estuary showing the shape, physical characteristics, scale and extent of the estuary.
• Simplified Estuary Vegetation Maps of the estuary showing the distribution of Mangrove, Seagrass and Saltmarsh within the estuary.
