Brooklyn

Current Situation

Hornsby Council has formed an estuary management committee to prepare a management plan for Brooklyn. Gosford City Council are represented on the committee and are contributing to the plan's development.

Consultant group WBM Oceanics Australia has been commissioned to develop the plan. The plan is due for completion in 2005.

Upon completion of the Brooklyn Estuary Management Plan Hornsby Council may consider dissolving the Berowra Creek and Brooklyn committees and consolidate its estuary management committees so that only one committee advises Council on estuary management issues in the Hornsby LGA.
