Physical Features

Twofold Bay, located to the west of a 5 km long line joining Worang Point (north) and Honeysuckle Point (south), comprises a twin sub-embayment system separated by a prominent central headland, Lookout Point. The northern sub-embayment is Calle Calle Bay, while that to the south is made up by numerous smaller embayments. The Nullica and Towamba Rivers enter the southern sub-embayment through permanently open, although severely shoaled, entrances. Aslings Beach forms a narrow barrier separating Curalo Lagoon and Calle Bay. Twofold Bay deepens to approximately 35 m below sea level between Worang Point and Honeysuckle Point. The major coastal town of Eden stretches from the southern shores of Curalo Lagoon to Lookout Point. The Port of Eden is located within Snug Cove, south-west of Lookout Point.
