National Action Plan for Salinity and Water Quality
The National Action Plan for Salinity and Water Quality (The National Action Plan) commits $1.4 billion nationally, over seven years, to apply regional solutions to salinity and water quality problems.
The National Action Plan targets 21 regions in Australia that are affected by salinity and water quality problems. Seven of these priority regions are in NSW and include:
- Condamine-Balonne-Maranoa (QLD-NSW),
- Border Rivers (QLD-NSW),
- Lachlan-Murrumbidgee (NSW),
- Lower-Murray,
- Macquarie-Castlereagh (NSW),
- Murray (NSW),
- Namoi-Gwydir (NSW).
