Sydney Water Corporation

Sydney Water Corporation (Sydney Water) is a statutory State-owned corporation which supplies drinking water, wastewater services and some stormwater services to the people of Sydney, Illawarra and the Blue Mountains.

Sydney Water's Water Management Licence defines Sydney Water's water access rights and obligations, and regulates the operation and management of water management works. The works are located at Botany Wetlands, Manly Dam and North Richmond Water Filtration Plant.

North Richmond Water Filtration Plant is licensed to extract and use water from the Hawkesbury River near North Richmond for potable use. Sydney Water is licensed to extract a maximum of 55 megalitres from the river, with no extraction permitted when flow in the Hawkesbury is less than, or equal to, the 99th percentile of natural flows at the off-take points.
